DC Electric ARC Furnace

The DC Electric Arc Furnace (DC EAF) utilizes a single graphite electrode and a conductive bottom electrode to establish a direct current electrical circuit.
Electrical energy is supplied through a furnace transformer and rectifier system, generating a stable electric arc between the top electrode and molten bath. The heat produced by the arc rapidly melts the metallic charge and supports refining operations.
Compared with conventional AC furnaces, DC EAF technology offers improved arc stability, lower electrode consumption and reduced power network disturbances, resulting in higher operating efficiency and lower production costs.
