Working Principle
The AC Submerged Arc Furnace (AC SAF) operates with three electrodes immersed in the burden material. Electrical energy is transferred through the charge and converted into heat by resistance heating and submerged arc reactions.
The generated heat enables the reduction and smelting of various ores and raw materials, producing ferroalloys, silicon metal and other metallurgical products. AC SAF technology is widely recognized for its reliability, large production capacity and continuous operation capability.
